PHILOSOPHY

At 402 Development Academy we emphasize in a possession-based attacking system. Our main goal is to develop every athlete into a complete all around player. In order to accomplish creating a complete player, we take pride in making sure all our players receive the technical skills necessary to be successful on the field. Every session starts with focus on developing skills with individual attention from highly qualified coaches. Quality of every repetition is key, as we don't want athletes to create bad habits. As players get more comfortable and confident on the ball, we start focusing on the tactical aspect of the game.

STYLE OF PLAY

• Offensive: We teach a progressive possession philosphy that focuses on playing out of the back, playing through the lines with good decision making, and showcasing their creativity in the final third. 
• Defensive: In the defensive phase, we focus on understanding the situation, anticipation, and individual defending technique as well as defending as a group. 
• Perception: Perception is key to our whole philosophy. Players need to know what to look for, how to look for. 

CLUB MISSION

402 Development Academy was established for the purpose of providing positive and safe soccer opportunities to children from age eight through eighteen. 

402 Development Academy is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the physical, mental and emotional growth and development of our youth through the sport of soccer at all levels of age and competition. Additionally, we will operate and offer a quality soccer program in a safe, fun, fair, and positive environment that complies in spirit and letter with the bylaws, policies, rules, regulations, and philosophies of 402 Development Academy.
